Double downer.
The Rams were a ratings dud Sunday in their new city as well as their former one.
The team’s first regular-season game in the Los Angeles area since returning after a 21-year stint in St. Louis was much-ballyhooed there, and drew a sellout crowd (announced at 91,046) to the Los Angeles Coliseum.
But the television ratings performance was as lackluster as the game, a field-goal snoozfest won by the Rams 9-3.
The telecast, on the Fox network outlet, was seen in just 12 percent of homes in that market with a TV. That’s according to Nielsen, which measures viewership.
