HOLLYWOOD, Fla. (AP) -- Police say Los Angeles Rams player Tre Mason was subdued with a stun gun when he refused to cooperate with officers who were arresting him in South Florida for reckless driving and marijuana possession.
Police officers in Hollywood, Florida, said Sunday that Mason refused orders to get out of his sports car after he was pulled over for going twice the speed limit in a 35-mile-per-hour zone.
Officers say they used the stun gun on Mason twice.
He was then taken to a hospital for medical clearance.
He is charged with resisting arrest without violence, reckless driving, possessing less than 20 grams of cannabis and failure to register a vehicle.
