In a move that many believe was long overdue, the Los Angles Rams parted ways with offensive tackle Greg Robinson on June 15 by trading the former first-round pick to the Detroit Lions for a sixth-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. Originally, this season seemed like it was going to be Robinson’s final chance to prove himself since new head coach Sean McVay seemed willing to give him one final chance, but at the end of the day, this move was best for both parties.
The Rams had given Robinson every opportunity in the world to prove himself worthy over the last three seasons, only to watch him end up being a disappointment each time.
