Well, they somehow pulled it off.
The Los Angeles Rams are trading two first round picks, a third round pick, and Jared Goff to the Detroit Lions in exchange for quarterback Matthew Stafford, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. The Rams do not have a first round pick in 2021, so it seems that they have dealt their first rounders in 2022 and 2023.
The trade cannot become “official” until March, but this looks like it is done.
