It’s still early in free agency, but the Los Angeles Rams are seemingly on the compensatory pick board for the year—at least for now.
The most important caveat in the NFL’s compensatory selection formula is the fact that teams’ free agent spending can offset the return capital should they have a player sign elsewhere. That seems to be the case between Bobby Brown leaving Los Angeles to sign with the Carolina Panthers and the Rams bringing in Poona Ford. Signing Ford effectively washes out any comp pick LA would have received in return.
