In their on-going efforts to bolster their depth at safety, the Los Angeles Rams are apparently taking a look at free agent Donte Whitner.
Whitner, the No. 8 overall pick for the Buffalo Bills in the 2006 NFL draft, is paying a visit to Los Angeles to meet with the team, according to a report from Pro Football Talk. Whitner took to Twitter to post a picture of his boarding pass from Miami to Los Angeles on Sunday morning.
The Rams have been a bit short at safety since starting free safety Rodney McLeod signed a lucrative free-agent deal with the Philadelphia Eagles in March.
