Rams shouldn't let Goff's poor preseason keep him from starting

If you were one of the souls brave enough to stomach 60 minutes of Rams-49ers late Monday night, you know that the Rams have serious issues as an offense. Starting quarterback Case Keenum was abysmal against the 49ers. The Rams' offense was built around a purely horizontal passing game, and San Francisco was able to sit within the first 10 yards of the line of scrimmage and cover everything.

The presumption of many observers is that this should never have happened. Los Angeles may have placed a first-round tender on Keenum to make sure they didn't lose him this offseason, but he was still supposed to be the backup.
