Rams safety McDonald facing DUI-drugs charges

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. -- Los Angeles Rams safety T.J. McDonald has been charged with one misdemeanor count of driving under the influence of drugs, a charge that stems from McDonald's arrest after a traffic accident in May, the Los Angeles City Attorney's Office said Friday.

McDonald faces an Oct. 7 arraignment and could face a maximum penalty of six months in county jail and a $1,000 fine if found guilty of the misdemeanor.

The former USC star is expected to start against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, which would mark the Rams' first regular-season game back at Los Angeles Coliseum.
