ST. LOUIS (AP) -- St. Louis Rams reserve running back Trey Watts has been suspended without pay for the first four games of the season for violating the NFL's substance-abuse policy.
Watts, a two-year veteran, will be eligible to return to the active roster Oct. 5. He is eligible to participate in offseason and preseason practices and games.
The 24-year-old Watts appeared in 14 games last year and had seven carries for 30 yards and three receptions for 18 yards.
