Rams revert to form, allow late TD and fall to Redskins

LOS ANGELES • It was back to business as usual for the Rams — the business of losing.

After opening the season a week earlier with an uncharacteristic blowout victory, over lowly Indianapolis, Los Angeles reverted to the form that has it coming off 13 consecutive non-winning seasons. The Rams gave up a touchdown late in the game — an 11-yard pass from Kirk Cousins to Ryan Grant — to lose 27-20 to Washington on Sunday.

After Grant’s score, Mason Foster sealed the win with 1:37 to go by intercepting a Jared Goff pass.

“I probably could have given us a better play,” Rams coach Sean McVay said.
