Rams reportedly restructure Jalen Ramsey’s contact to help get closer to being under salary cap

The Los Angles Rams have begun the heavy lifting of getting under the NFL salary cap by Wednesday afternoon.

NFL Media reported that the Rams have restructured the contract of star cornerback Jalen Ramsey, which he signed last year, to create $12 million in 2021 salary-cap room. The report also stated that the Rams have begun to work on the contracts of wide receivers Robert Woods and Cooper Kupp and defensive tackle Aaron Donald will all soon be restructured as well to get the Rams under the cap in the next day.

The #Rams are working to get under the cap, restructuring CB Jalen Ramsey’s contract (creating about $12M of space), WR Robert Woods ($8M), and Cooper Kupp's and Aaron Donald’s conversions should be done soon to get them under the threshold.
