Los Angeles (AFP) - Suspended St. Louis Rams receiver Stedman Bailey was hospitalised with critical injuries after being shot in Miami, his NFL team confirmed.
Bailey, serving a four-game ban for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy, was said to be in a "critical but stable" condition following the shooting.
"We are aware Stedman Bailey was involved in an incident this evening," the Rams said in a statement.
"We have spoken with Stedman and he is in the hospital in critical, but stable, condition. We are gathering facts about the situation and will provide updates as we learn more.
