Ever since the Los Angeles Rams traded away cornerback Jalen Ramsey during the 2023 offseason, the team has needed a long-term answer at the position. However, time and again, the front office has continued to place a band-aid on the cornerback position and tried to fix a boat taking on water with duct tape.
The issue really pre-dates the Ramsey trade. Heading into the 2022 season, Darious Williams left for the Jacksonville Jaguars in free agency. Instead of taking a player like Zyon McCollum, the Rams traded for a 31-year old Troy Hill during the draft.
