The LA Rams are bringing back tight end Johnny Mundt on a one-year contract, according to the LA Rams. Mundt was set to be a restricted free agent but without many suitors, re-signing him was basically a formality. Undrafted out of Oregon in 2017, the 6’4 Mundt posted a CAREER-HIGH with 53 yards over 16 games last season. His 121 snaps on offense were more than what A’Shawn Robinson played on defense, and Mundt also contributed 266 special teams snaps.
So while the Rams did lose longsnapper Jake McQuaide, they’ll be keeping at least one of their core special teamers around for another season.
