LOS ANGELES -- The Los Angeles Rams extended an original-round tender to defensive tackle Dominique Easley, one of two restricted free agents.
Under the tender, the Rams have the right of first refusal, which means they can match any offer sheet Easley may receive from another team. If they choose not to, they would receive a first-round pick as compensation. The original-round tender would pay Easley $1.797 million in 2017.
Easley was the 29th overall pick by the New England Patriots in 2014, but was released after a two-year stint in which he struggled to stay healthy and reportedly faced questions about his character.
