The Los Angeles Rams have officially informed wide receiver Cooper Kupp that the team plans on releasing him according to NFL Media’s Tom Pelissero. According to Pelissero, Kupp is expected to have plenty of suitors around the league once he is officially available at 4 p.m. ET.
The move is an expected one as ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Monday that if the Rams couldn’t find a trade partner that they would release Kupp on Wednesday which is the beginning of the new league year. Kupp was due a $7.5 million roster bonus and $5 million more in other guarantees.
