The Rams made two moves Tuesday morning, releasing linebacker Keshaaun Malone and defensive tackle Doug Worthington to get to the 75-man roster limit.
The final cut to 53 must be made by 3 p.m. on Saturday.
Tuesday’s moves mean that cornerback Brandon McGee has survived — at least this round of cuts. McGee, a fifth-round draft pick in 2013, has missed all but one day of training camp with a lingering foot injury.
“It’s been hard, particularly because he’s been dealing with things over the last year and a half,” Rams coach Jeff Fisher said Tuesday when asked about McGee, who spent much of last season on injured reserve.
