Rams notes: Quinn, McDonald are on the mend

After practice at Rams Park on Wednesday, coach Jeff Fisher said that defensive end Robert Quinn (back) and strong safety T.J. McDonald (shoulder) had undergone successful operations and should be on track to return for organized team activities in the spring.

Quinn, a two-time Pro Bowl selection who set the club’s single-season sack record with 19 in 2013, started the season’s first seven games but was inactive for five of the next six before being placed on injured reserve last week.

Quinn is second on the team with five sacks this season.

McDonald, who played through injuries all season, started 11 of the season’s first 12 games before being placed on injured reserve Dec.
