In 2012, their first draft with the Rams, head coach Jeff Fisher and general manager Les Snead selected wide receiver Chris Givens in the fourth round. Over the weekend, the team traded Givens to the Baltimore Ravens for a conditional seventh-round draft pick.
The Rams get the pick in 2018, but the pick can be moved forward to the 2017 draft based on game participation by Givens.
“It was a good deal,’’ Fisher said. “We had a couple trading partners there (the New York Jets also showed interest). We completed it Friday, let Chris know Saturday... I was really proud of Chris considering where he was when he got here and the player he became, the pro that he became.
