The end for the Rams came when Vikings punt returner Marcus Sherels took back a punt 26 yards after Rams punter Johnny Hekker boomed a 63-yard punt.
Adrian Peterson ran the ball well into kicker Blair Walsh’s range to give the Vikings their seventh straight win at home. The kicker hit a 40-yard winner.
Peterson rushed for 125 yards on 29 carries. The Rams did knock Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater out of the game, he left with a concussion early in the fourth quarter after an illegal hit by Rams cornerback Lamarcus Joyner.
