No matter how much the Los Angeles Rams and Jared Goff want to avoid the comparisons to Carson Wentz since the two quarterbacks were selected back-to-back in the 2016 NFL Draft, chances are they will be dealing with this for the remainder of their careers.
While many will make the case that Wentz has the slight advantage at the moment for being the better player when healthy, Goff isn’t too far behind him after recently helping the Rams reach the Super Bowl before falling to the New England Patriots.
Over the last couple of months, one of the biggest questions surrounding Los Angeles was whether Goff would receive an extension sooner rather than later, especially with some reports indicating that Philadelphia was strongly considering one for Wentz.
