The L.A. Rams are re-signing quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo to a one-year contract. Garoppolo joined the Rams in 2024 to backup Matthew Stafford and he has been viewed as a potential bridge quarterback for the future if Stafford retires or departs.
The Rams were able to keep Stafford in 2025, but Sean McVay has called that a “year to year” deal and that the team will keep evaluating the quarterback position every offseason.
However, with Garoppolo now signed for another season and Stetson Bennett under contract for two more seasons (although it would make sense for the team to bring in competition for that job), the Rams should be set in the quarterback room next year.
