The Rams are going to put their second young defensive player on the injured reserve this week.
Confirming the team’s fears of earlier in the week, Los Angeles Rams coach Sean McVay said on Wednesday that outside linebacker Obo Okoronkwo will need a procedure on his elbow and he will likely go on the injured reserve.
Rams OLB Obo Okoronkwo will undergo procedure for elbow injury, McVay said. Not expected to be season-ending. Roster move will be made.

Okoronkwo should return in about a month, McVay said.
