With an official ceremony on Thursday afternoon, the Los Angeles Rams’ Inglewood Stadium has broken ground.
Located in Inglewood, California, the Rams’ new home will open in 2019 as the most expensive stadium built in sports history, topping the New York Giants’ and Jets’ MetLife stadium by more than $2 billion.
On hand was NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, as well as Rams brass including owner Stan Kroenke and COO Kevin Demoff. The mayor of Inglewood, James Butts, was also at the groundbreaking ceremony.
