The Rams finally have a new strength coach and he has ties to some of the top players on the roster.
The team officially announced the hiring of Justin Lovett on Monday afternoon.
Lovett comes to the Rams from Purdue, where he led its strength program for the past three years. Lovett replaces Ted Rath, who is now with the Eagles as their director of sports performance. Like Rath was, Lovett will likely be Sean McVay’s “get back” coach assistant.
Prior to his time at Purdue, Lovett was at Western Kentucky, who he worked with Rams tight end Tyler Higbee.
