Carol Ricketts stood in the middle of Aloe Plaza, wearing a bright pink T-shirt. Her family, wearing St. Louis Rams shirts, took photos with her and the Rams’ truck wrapped with player images of defensive ends Chris Long and Robert Quinn. The family was one of more than 100 people who joined the Rams’ 2015 Susan G. Koman St. Louis “Race for a Cure” team, celebrating breast cancer survivors like Ricketts, who has been cancer free for 16 years, as well as remembering those who were lost to the disease.
“Just to see all the number of survivors and people who are supporting is very uplifting,” Ricketts said.
