LOS ANGELES — The Rams committed five giveaways and failed to score on three of their red-zone trips to fall to Seattle, 16-10.
The Rams looked like they might have a touchdown on their first possession, but turned the ball over on a close play near the end zone. On 2nd-and-5 from the Seattle 12, running back Todd Gurley took a pitch to the left, and extended the ball toward the pylon. But safety Earl Thomas knocked the ball out of Gurley’s hands before he stepped out of bounds. Because the ball hit the pylon, the play was ruled a touchback and Seattle got the ball on its on 20.
