The Niners got on the board first with a touchdown late in the first quarter. Starting the possession with good field position on their own 48-yard line, the 49ers went 52 yards in 10 plays to open the scoring. Quarterback Blaine Gabbert scrambled for a pair of first downs on the drive, and running back Carlos Hyde finished it off with an 11-yard touchdown on a draw play.
Los Angeles had a tough time getting anything going offensively throughout the game. Though the club advanced from its own 25-yard line to the San Francisco 46 on the opening drive, the offense stalled from there.
