Rams fall short of 'first-tier' status

After strong games early against Seattle and Arizona, Nick Foles threw a career-high four INTs in Game 5 against Green Bay and was battered by the Packers’ pass rush in the process. He was never the same, missing open receivers with off-target passing or simply not seeing open receivers. As the weeks went by his confidence seemed to wane. At season’s end there were 35 quarterbacks who had thrown enough passes to qualify for the league passer rating. Foles was ranked 33rd with a rating of 69.0.

Case Keenum provided a late-season spark, leading the Rams to three victories in five starts and coming within a play or two of 5-0.
