LOS ANGELES -- Ethan Westbrooks' eyes were foggy, but he was pretty sure those were firefighters tapping the side window of his car.
It was 2011, somewhere on Interstate 5 between Sacramento and Stockton, California. Westbrooks, now in his third season with the Los Angeles Rams, was parked on the side of the road in the early morning hours of a normal workday. The men beyond the glass asked if he was on drugs, but Westbrooks explained he had merely stopped for a nap, exhausted by the 50-mile drive from his job to his college.
