Rams' DE Quinn, S McDonald to have season-ending surgeries

After Wednesday's practice at Rams Park, head coach Jeff Fisher announced that two of his better defensive players _ defensive end Robert Quinn and strong safety T.J. McDoanld _ will undergo season-ending surgeries.

Quinn, a two-time Pro Bowler, will have back surgery. He started the season's first seven games, sat one week and then saw limited action in the team's Nov. 15 loss to the visiting Chicago Bears. He has been inactive the last three games.

Even with all the time missed, Quinn is still second on the team with five sacks.

Playing through injury much of the season, McDonald has started 11 of 12 games, sitting out against Minnesota on Nov.
