The Los Angeles Rams signed Darious Williams to a three-year, $22.5 million contract in free agency. However, it would be more accurate to say that the Rams paid a fully-guaranteed $7 million to have Williams for one season and if he outplays his contract value then L.A. will keep him in 2025. Anything less than that though, the Rams will be hard-pressed to not release Williams for cap reasons because they don’t have many other good options to save money.
As I wrote previously, the Rams did not overpay Williams and it is a good bargain to get a cornerback of his caliber with a cap hit under $5 million in 2024.
