There’s been a lot of great coverage around the internet this week about how the Miami Dolphins used Cover-0 pressure to force four first half turnovers by LA Rams quarterback Jared Goff on Sunday. Here’s what TouchdownWire had to say about it:
Cover-0 is not something Goff had seen a lot this season. But in 2019, he completed 7 of 16 passes for 71 yards, five touchdowns, and no interceptions against Cover-0. That said, Dolphins head coach Brian Flores and defensive coordinator Josh Boyer decided to throw more of it right at Goff, and it turned out beautifully — in the Dolphins’ 28-17 win, Goff completed just 35 of 61 passes for 355 yards, one touchdown in garbage time, two back-breaking interceptions, and two lost fumbles — one of which was returned for a touchdown.
