The Rams will be without one of their defensive starters on Sunday, as outside linebacker Robert Quinn is inactive for the matchup with Houston.
Tight end Derek Carrier, a key special teams and offensive contributor, is also inactive for Sunday.
Both Quinn (illness) and Carrier (hamstring) were listed as doubtful for Sunday after the week of practice.
With Quinn out, outside linebacker Matt Longacre is expected to start. Longacre is currently tied with defensive lineman Aaron Donald and outside linebacker Connor Barwin for the team lead at 4.0 sacks.
With Carrier out, rookie Johnny Mundt is active and expected to serve as the Rams’ third tight end alongside Tyler Higbee and Gerald Everett.
