At this time a year ago, the outlook of the Los Angeles Rams offensive line could not have been more bleak. Following a season in which they had historic injuries to the offensive line and only added one rookie in the second round, the hope was that the group could be average and just keep quarterback Matthew Stafford upright. Still many analysts considered it a bottom-10 group.
Heading into training camp, no position seemed safe. While there were favorites, those players weren’t considered locks for starting role by any means. Joe Noteboom entered the summer as the starting left tackle.
