The Los Angeles Rams first round of Pro Football Focus grades for the preseason are in and backup cornerback Kevin Peterson appears to be a standout, posting a grade of 91.0. A year ago, Peterson also enjoyed a strong camp and opening preseason game before a torn ACL brought a premature ending to his chances of making the opening day roster. This season guys like Troy Hill and David Long seem locked in to backup roles at cornerback, but maybe Peterson can still become the team’s final corner. He is currently battling Ramon Richards (a Week 1 PFF top performer), Dominique Hatfield, Darious Williams, and Dont’e Deayon (another Week 1 PFF top performer) to make the final 53 man roster.
