HOUSTON • Ezekiel Elliott can’t win ’em all. But he still garnered another award Saturday during the nationally-televised “NFL Honors” show.
The running back from Alton, who played his high school ball at John Burroughs in Ladue, didn’t quite make it to the Super Bowl. His Dallas Cowboys were eliminated in the divisional round of the playoffs by Green Bay. But he accomplished just about everything else as an NFL rookie.
His latest award came Saturday during the Honors show when he was named the FedEx Ground Player of the Year. A fitting award for someone who led the league in rushing.
