Long-time defensive coordinators Wade Phillips and Monte Kiffin have won the Paul Zimmerman Award from the Professional Football Writers of America.
The award is given for lifetime achievement as an NFL assistant coach.
Phillips, 69, finally won a Super Bowl last season, his second as a Denver assistant and first under coach Gary Kubiak. His stingy defense was at the core of the Broncos' run to the championship.
Phillips also has been an NFL head coach for six franchises, three as an interim.
Kiffin, 76, is in his 29th season as an NFL coach and first with Jacksonville.
