The Los Angeles Rams released S Blake Countess yesterday due to not being able to agree to new terms on a pay cut, and the Philadelphia Eagles have claimed the former Ram, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapaport:
Countess became expendable when the Rams drafted two safeties this past weekend in the second round in Taylor Rapp, and seventh round in Nick Scott. Both guys have the ability to play a vital role on special teams, and that’s where majority of Countess’ contribution stemmed from.
