The effort may have fallen short, but the St. Louis Tom Lombardo chapter of the National Football Foundation appreciates the work done by Dave Peacock to try to keep the Rams in St. Louis.
Peacock will be given the group’s Tom Lombardo Leadership Award at its annual banquet Sunday at the Sheraton Westport Chalet Hotel.
“We want to thank Dave Peacock for all the things he’s done in St. Louis. To be honest, against all odds,” said Bob Bunton Sr., executive director of the St. Louis chapter. “What we found out later, the NFL was lying to us and they weren’t giving us any cooperation.
