Jared Goff, the No. 1 overall pick who is expected to become the face of the Los Angeles Rams, isn't even a No. 2 quarterback right now.
On Thursday night, in the Rams' final preseason contest and his first NFL start, Goff completed less than 40 percent of his passes and committed a couple of key turnovers, capping a four-game slate littered with indecision and struggle. Later -- in the moments following a 27-25 loss to the Minnesota Vikings at U.S. Bank Stadium -- Rams coach Jeff Fisher stressed that Goff "has progressed," but also admitted that he's "not ready.
