Aaron Donald turned plenty of heads with his 2014 season, becoming the league’s AP and PFWA Defensive Rookie of the Year. And now he’s been recognized by his peers as well, landing at the No. 92 spot on the NFL Network’s “The Top 100 Players of 2015.”
Donald had a prolific first season for St. Louis, leading all NFL rookies with 9.0 sacks. The mark set a new Rams rookie record, irrespective of position. He also had 32 quarterback pressures, 12 quarterback hits, and 17 tackles for loss in his 2014 campaign. Donald became the first Ram to win both the AP and PFWA Defensive Rookie of the Year awards since linebacker Isiah Robertson accomplished the feat in 1971.
