NFL passes proposed rule change on jersey numbers and Rams will have some immediate requests

We’ve become familiar with Robert Woods as number 17 and Jalen Ramsey as number 20, but Wednesday’s news that the NFL passed a proposed rule change that will allow cornerbacks and receivers to wear single-digit numbers — among other positions and longer number range possibilities — will have an immediate impact on the Los Angeles Rams.

Woods and Ramsey have both expressed an interest in changing to ‘2’ if the NFL did indeed pass the rule, as was expected, but Ramsey might also be open to wearing ‘5’ and is not going to let it come between him and one of the Rams’ top receivers.
