HOUSTON _ At 8:45 a.m. Tuesday morning, Rams owner Stan Kroenke walked into a side entrance of the meeting room at the Westin Houston Memorial Hotel, site of the NFL owners meetings that will decide the fate of his team _ and professional football _ in St. Louis.
Other owners and league officials, those not trying to relocate teams to Los Angeles, slowly filtered into a different entrance, the front door so to speak of the meeting room. Mike Brown, owner of the Cincinnati Bengals walked in; Wellington Mara, owner of the New York Giants, and so on.
