NFL notes: Looks like Eagles want to keep Bradford

INDIANAPOLIS • Sam Bradford’s original contract is about to expire — the one he signed as the 2010 draft’s No. 1 overall pick in St. Louis.

But if you can believe new Philadelphia head coach Doug Pederson and Eagles vice president of football operations Howie Roseman, the team wants him back.

“It’s never productive to talk about an ongoing negotiation, but we’ve been pretty clear we’d like to have Sam back,” Roseman said Wednesday at the NFL Scouting Combine. “We’ll be running into Tom Condon at some point in the next couple of days.”

Condon is Bradford’s agent, and discussions between agents and team executives are as much a part of the combine week as the workouts, interviews, and physicals of draft candidates.
