SAN FRANCISCO • Don’t hold your breath on this one, but NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said Friday the league wasn’t closing the door on another franchise in St. Louis.
“We have a tremendous number of fans there, as you know,” Goodell said, responding to a Post-Dispatch question. “It’s a great community and if there’s something that can be worked out and we can develop a stadium that can allow a team to be successful there, that’s something we should consider.”
Goodell said he made those points to Gov. Jay Nixon a couple of days after NFL owners voted 30-2 on Jan.
