July 24 (The Sports Xchange) - Former Arizona Cardinals star Darnell Dockett is expected to announce his retirement on Monday, ESPN reported.
Dockett, 35, hasn't played since the 2013 season. The three-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle had 40.5 sacks in 10 NFL seasons.
Dockett tore the ACL in his right knee during training camp in 2014 and missed the entire season. The Cardinals released him in February 2015 and he didn't play last season after being released by the San Francisco 49ers shortly before the start of the regular season.
Dockett posted a career-high nine sacks in 2007.
