SCHAUMBURG, Ill. • A new stadium in Carson, Calif., for the San Diego Chargers and Oakland Raiders could solve stadium problems for St. Louis, too, suggested Carson point man Carmen Policy on Tuesday.
Policy stepped out of a meeting Tuesday afternoon of National Football League owners, held in this northwestern suburb of Chicago.
Mobbed by reporters from across the country, he laid out plans as just presented by Chargers and Raiders officials to league owners. "I honestly could not have asked for a more attentive audience," Policy said. "They were engaged, way beyond being polite.
