After agreeing to a hefty one-year deal with Ndamukong Suh last offseason, the Los Angeles Rams knew right away this year it would be too difficult to bring him back in 2019, mainly because his asking price would most likely be too high.
As tempting as it was to reward Suh with another deal to put the Rams in another solid position to make a run at the Super Bowl, the team also knew some of the money the veteran would be looking for needed to be spent elsewhere.
Not to mention, there were some concerns last year that Los Angeles overpaid for Suh since the argument can be made that despite some impressive outings, his overall play didn’t exactly match the money he was making.
