When you have the greatest interior pass rusher of all time, you can put less of an emphasis on production from the EDGE position. That’s been the case over the last decade for the Los Angeles Rams and Aaron Donald.
Donald has played a major part in helping less-than-elite outside linebackers get paid a premium penny. Donte Fowler, Leonard Floyd, Von Miller, Samson Ebukam, and Obo Okoronkwo all benefitted in part from Donald being the primary focus of opposing offensive coordinators and soon enjoyed hefty pay days.
But with Donald hanging up his cleats this offseason, the entire landscape of the Rams’ pass rush is slated to change.
